Hurun Research released the “2026 Hurun Rich List.” This year, a total of 1,529 entrepreneurs with personal wealth exceeding 5 billion yuan made the list, an increase of 95 compared to last year, setting a new record high.
The total wealth of the listed entrepreneurs reached 32 trillion yuan, an increase of 7% (2.1 trillion yuan) year-on-year. Zhang Yiming, founder of ByteDance, became China’s richest person for the second time with a fortune of 670 billion yuan, setting a new record for the wealthiest individual in China. Zhong Shanshan, founder of Nongfu Spring, saw his wealth decline by 120 billion yuan, dropping to second place with 410 billion yuan.
It is worth noting that Liang Wenfeng from DeepSeek made his debut on the list and ranked among the top ten with a fortune of 280 billion yuan.
